Saturday:Frosty start, with any early cloud and lingering mist or fog patches gradually clearing. Cold day follows, with hazy sunshine. Cloud thickening further ahead of snow spreading north after dark. Maximum temperature 4 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:Snow accumulating before dawn Sunday, Milder air then spreading north with rain and icy patches likely, followed by a rapid thaw. Breezy. Cold again Monday, Tuesday with isolated wintry showers.


West Midlands Weather

This Evening and Tonight:A few showers in the north, otherwise dry with some cloud. Temperatures quickly falling away under any clear spells to give a widespread frost and isolated freezing fog patches due to light winds. Minimum temperature -1 °C.

Saturday:A dry and cold start but turning increasingly unsettled with rain, sleet and disruptive heavy snow pushing in from the southwest through the afternoon accompanied by stronger winds. Maximum temperature 4 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:Heavy snow and freezing rain on Sunday, bringing disruption. Icy surfaces likely in sheltered spots. Drier from Monday with a few wintry showers. Staying cold with a risk of ice.
